HSL Color Mixer
Fine-tune individual colors with Hue, Saturation, and Luminance sliders.
HSL Color Mixer
The HSL Mixer lets you adjust individual color ranges in your image without affecting other colors. This is the go-to tool for making skies bluer, greens richer, or skin tones warmer.
Color Channels
Fovea provides 8 color channels, each with independent sliders:
- Red (0°)
- Orange (30°)
- Yellow (60°)
- Green (120°)
- Aqua (180°)
- Blue (220°)
- Purple (270°)
- Magenta (320°)
Sliders
Each channel expands to reveal three sliders:
| Slider | Range | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| H (Hue) | ±30° or ±180° | Shifts the hue of that color range |
| S (Saturation) | ±100 | Increases or decreases saturation |
| L (Luminance) | ±100 | Brightens or darkens that color range |
All sliders feature context-aware gradient tracks — the slider backgrounds dynamically show the color shift you’re applying.
Hue Modes
Toggle between two hue modes using the icons at the top-right of the panel:
- Granular (link icon) — Limits hue shift to ±30°, ideal for subtle corrections (e.g., making orange skin tones slightly warmer).
- Full Spectrum (arrow icon) — Unlocks the full ±180° range, allowing dramatic color transformations.
Click-to-Expand
Channels are collapsed by default to save space. Click a channel’s header row to expand it and reveal the H/S/L sliders.
