Precise tonal control with per-channel tone curves.
Curves Editor
The Curves panel gives you surgical control over the tonal range of your image. Adjust the overall brightness distribution or target individual color channels.
Channels
Switch between channels using the selector at the top of the panel:
| Channel | Purpose |
|---|---|
| RGB (Master) | Adjusts overall brightness and contrast |
| Red | Controls red tones independently |
| Green | Controls green tones independently |
| Blue | Controls blue tones independently |
| Luma | Adjusts luminosity without affecting color saturation |
Using the Curve
- Click anywhere on the curve to add a control point.
- Drag a point to reshape the curve — lifting brightens, pulling down darkens.
- The histogram behind the curve shows the image’s tonal distribution in real time.
- A value readout below the curve shows the In/Out values and delta as you drag, displayed in 0–255 scale.
Tips
- Create an S-curve on the Master channel for classic contrast.
- Lift the blue shadows and pull down blue highlights for a cinematic teal-and-orange look.
- Use the Luma channel to add contrast without shifting color balance.
- Click the reset arrow to return any channel to its default straight line.
