As photographers, we’ve all felt it. You find a tool you love, you integrate it into your workflow, and then—out of nowhere—the price jumps. Then it jumps again. Before you know it, you’re paying hundreds (or thousands) of dollars a year just for the right to access your own work.

I understand that pain because I live it. Every time a competitor increases their prices, they aren’t just asking for more money; they’re taking a piece of our profit margin in an industry that is already demanding enough.

My Mission: Professional Speed without the Price Tag

My goal is simple, but ambitious: To create a complete end-to-end professional piece of software for the modern photographer that is significantly cheaper than anything else on the market.

I’m building Fovea to be:

• Insanely Fast: Native macOS performance (Swift/Metal) because we don't have time for loading spinners.
• Privacy-First: No accounts, no cloud uploads, no nonsense. Your data stays on your machine.
• Fairly Priced: A tool built for the community, not for shareholders.

A Bit More About Me

Before I was a photographer (and a corporate professional), I was actually a professional magician. That background in magic taught me two things: the importance of "how it feels" for the audience, and the technical precision required to make something complex look effortless.

I apply that same philosophy to Fovea. The technology under the hood is complex—leveraging the latest Apple Silicon APIs, bespoke image processing pipelines, and a native architecture designed for raw power. We’ve even built-in custom local AI that handles culling decisions entirely on your machine, ensuring your privacy is never compromised.

For you, it should just feel like magic.

I’m building this on the side, fueled by coffee and a genuine desire to see photographers keep more of their hard-earned money. With your support, I hope to make Fovea the new standard for a faster, fairer workflow.
