Compare View

Side-by-side comparison with synchronized zoom and pan.

Compare View

Compare View lets you place multiple photos side-by-side to evaluate the best shot in a burst or series.

Opening Compare View

  1. Select 2 or more photos in the grid (hold to multi-select).
  2. Press C to enter Compare View.

Features

  • Side-by-side layout — Selected photos are displayed horizontally, each taking equal width.
  • Synchronized zoom — Pinch to zoom on any photo, and all photos zoom to the same level. This lets you check the same detail across multiple shots.
  • Synchronized pan — Drag to pan, and all photos move together, keeping the same area in view.
  • Tap to zoom — Click on a photo to quickly zoom in to 3x magnification centered on that point. Click again to zoom back out.
  • Filename & rating — Each photo shows its filename and star rating at the bottom for quick reference.
  • Active selection — Click on a photo to make it the active selection (highlighted with a blue border). You can then rate it using keyboard shortcuts.

Closing Compare View

Press C again or click the button in the top-right corner to return to the grid.

Tips

  • Compare View is most powerful when checking focus across a burst — zoom into the eyes simultaneously across all candidates.
  • Rate your preferred shot using number keys (15) while in Compare View.
